You can register with Huisartsenpraktijk Oostenburg if you live or will soon be living in the Oostenburg area. Unfortunately, the practice can no longer accept patients outside this area. An exception can be made for housemates (family or partners) of already registered patients. If you meet one of these conditions, you can fill in the online registration form. When you are registered you will receive a confirmation email and an email with login details to access your patient portal. Haven’t received anything after 2 weeks? Please contact us via email@example.com.
Always a doctor on the phone
At general practice Oostenburg you always communicate directly with a doctor. In many cases we can answer your questions directly by telephone. When you plan a callback appointment via web calendar, you can determine the time at which this is most convenient for you. You can also schedule a callback or video call 24 hours a day by using the telephone; then call us on 020-8088008. In case of an emergency, you can of course always contact us immediately; Call the practice number, press 1: you will get us directly on the phone during office hours, outside office hours you will be automatically forwarded to the Amsterdam Emergency GP post.
No waiting times and plenty of time for the patient
Because of our way of working, the practice hardly has any waiting times and we can take 20 minutes for a standard consultation. In practice, you will usually find an empty waiting room and there is no staffed counter.
You communicate with us through the patient portal on your smartphone, tablet or computer. With this (web)applications you can easily schedule a face-to-face appointment at the practice, call back appointment or video consultation with one of the available doctors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You can also ask a medical question (e-consultation), request repeat prescription, view your own test results or read letters from a specialist. In short, the patient portal helps you arrange many matters independently and gives you insight into your medical file. The application meets all legal requirements regarding privacy.
Two things are important to mention with regard to the patient portal. 1. Every child should have a patient portal of its own. Therefore, they should provide an emailadres (=username) of its own during the registration. Parents or caretakers can connect their mobile number to the portal for the login procedure. 2. For the login procedure of the patient portal, a Dutch mobile number is necessary. Alternatively, the Signal app can be used, but this is less convenient.
Short consultations directly planned at the practice
A regular (interactive) consultation in this practice always starts with a telephone or video call. Besides this, it is possible to directly plan a number of short (10 minute) consultations at the practice. You must be logged into the patient portal for this.
– Short appointment: You can directly schedule a short consultation at the practice for subjects mentioned in the portal. Some examples are: urine analysis, ear pain, throat pain, cryotherapy for warts, ear cleaning, removal of stitches, therapeutic injections or a pap smear test as part of the cervical cancer population screening.
– Appointment with assistant: An appointment with assistant Romina can be scheduled on Wednesday afternoon for: removing stitches, cryotreatment of warts, ear cleaning (prepare you ears for 2 days by dripping two drops of neutral oil twice a day), an STI consultation or a pap smear test as part of the cervical cancer governmental screening system.
The practice has to main partnerships. There is a remote collaboration with Flexdokters; a cooperative of general practitioners who support each other remotely by means of current technology. When we are absent, you may talk to one of our Flexdokters colleague general practitioners for urgent matters. They can help you as far as possible and if your subject requires a physical consultation, they will organize this a GP practice in the area.
The second collaboration concerns emergency consultations in the afternoon with 4 nearby GP practices. If you call the emergency line, it will be answered by one of these practices. They can help you further, including any necessary physical consultation.
